Step-by-Step Guide to eNotary Registration with Nevada

Are you a certified Nevada notary who wants to start working online? To become an electronic notary, you’ll need to partner with an "Electronic Notary Solution Provider" (basically, a state-approved platform for conducting online notarizations).

Choose Online Notary Center as your Provider and we’ll guide you through all the steps. Read the following to learn how to become an electronic notary with Online Notary Center.

Stage 1: Complete your training

  1. Log in to start your training: https://training.nvsos-training.com/.
  2. Complete the course “Electronic Notary Training” and pass the exam.
  3. Once you’ve finished training, log in to SilverFlume to pay: https://www.nvsilverflume.gov/home.
  4. Under “OTHER BUSINESS SERVICES,” select the “Notary” link.
  5. Under the “NOTARY” dropdown menu, select "FEE FOR ENOTARY TRAINING OR NOTARY VIOLATION ONLY."
  6. Complete the process through the SilverFlume Shopping Cart. Per NAC Chapter 240, registrants must pay a $45 non-refundable training fee online using a credit card. No cash or check payments are accepted via mail or in-person.

Stage 2: Create an account with Online Notary Center

  1. Create an account with Online Notary Center as an “E-Notary”: https://www.onlinenotarycenter.com/user/register.
  2. Decide which of our eNotary plans works best for you. For more information: https://www.onlinenotarycenter.com/page/notaryPricing.
  3. Upload your credentials into our Portal. This will include your commission information, insurance, and other documents. You’ll also be able to confirm here which plan you’ve decided on.
  4. Submit your application. We’ll email you back with a confirmation and an exemplar file, which includes the electronic seal you’ll use for notarizations. Note: This may take 1-3 weeks, as we receive a large volume of notary applications.

Stage 3: Register as an eNotary

  1. Log in to SilverFlume again: https://www.nvsilverflume.gov/home.
  2. Under “OTHER BUSINESS SERVICES,” select the "Notary" link
  3. Under the “ELECTRONIC NOTARY” dropdown menu, select "ELECTRONIC NOTARY REGISTRATION."
  4. Complete the process through the SilverFlume Shopping Cart. When you are asked for your provider, make sure to fill out "Online Notary Center." Per NAC Chapter 240, registrants must pay a $50 non-refundable registration fee online using a credit card. No cash or check payments are accepted via mail or in-person.

Stage 4: Submit your exemplar

  1. Log in to SilverFlume again: https://www.nvsilverflume.gov/home.
  2. Under "OTHER BUSINESS SERVICES,"" select the "Notary" link.
  3. Under the “ELECTRONIC NOTARY” dropdown menu, select "ELECTRONIC NOTARIZATION EXEMPLAR."
  4. Upload the exemplar PDF file you received from us in Stage 2. We send this exemplar to you after we’ve reviewed the application you sent through our Portal.
  5. Complete the process through the SilverFlume Shopping Cart. There should not be a fee.
